On Sunday September 9 we at Zion will begin our new Fall Worship Schedule. We are going down to one worship service on a Sunday morning at it will be at 10 a.m. on Sunday mornings.

On Sunday September 9, our 10 a.m. Worship Service will be proceeded by our Annual Pancake Breakfast at 9 a.m. in our Fellowship Hall.This will be followed by our Rally Day Balloon Launch to begin our Sunday School year.

Sunday Church School classes for youth and adults will begin at 9 a.m. on September 16.


On Saturday, September 15 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Zionwill hostSTCCC Annual Fall Clothing


You can donate clean, in good repair, no rips, tears or missing zippers or buttons, or stained clothes will be accepted. We are not accepting ripped jeans!

We will be accepting clothes on the south ramped indoor entrance (opposite the Gazebo) from Tuesday, September 11 through noon on Friday, September 14.

Community Free Meals

Second Tuesday of this month is  St Paul's Table of Plenty at St. Paul's Catholic Church of New Middletownfrom

5 p.m.to6:30 p.m.

Third Tuesday of this month join the people of Petersburg Presbyterian for Calvin's Table from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. 

Fourth Tuesday of this month  is Luther's Table at Zion Lutheran Church of New Middletown from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Zion Lutheran is reaching out to the community by offering a meal at no  cost for people of the community. Our next meal is on Tuesday, September 25 at 5 p.m.   Our goal is to provide companionship, fellowship, nutrition (physical or spiritual) and strengthening the bonds within our community.

​​​​Contemplative Prayer Group
Our Contemplative prayer group will meet on Thursday, September 13 at 7 pm when Body Prayer will be the base. Then on Thursday, September 27 when Sound and Silence will be the base. 

Worship Around the Cross

We at Zion will begin to offer for our twenty something and thirty something folks in the Fellowship Room on First Thursday of each month. The next Worship Around the Cross will be held on Thursday,

October 4 p.m. This will be a relaxed style of worship offered on the First Thursday of each month (to begin with), using power points, You-Tube songs, chants, and the sermon will be in a conversational style in a circle with our large  wooden cross making up our center. Holy Communion will be offered at each Worship Service.


This is an invitation for all children and teens to join our congregations once a month for spiritual education, fun, and fellowship. We will meet at one of the three congregations each month. All are invited to each of the congregations each month, so please find time to stop by. Each time the “Seekers” will meet, it will be for one hour and include snack time.
